Angel Loop is a community promoting angel investing and its role in the Queensland economy. One of their programs takes investor-ready businesses around to Angel networks in regional areas. Pitching workshop and Competition. Bryon Shire Council, NSW State Government and Founders Northern Rivers, as part of Small Business Week, want to help you PERFECT YOUR PITCH! Do you have an idea but no clue how to pitch that idea? Pitching is being able to make the case for the product, project or idea you intend to sell. Pitching has also become its own business and pitching well can be crucial to your success. This two hour workshop is open to anyone and everyone. Kylee Ingram from Founders Northern Rivers will run you through best practice of pitching from effective communication, what to include in your pitch and Your Ask plus how to keep the conversation open plus Kylee will also show you some great examples from across the world. The workshop will be followed by a pitching session by six preselected local startups. These six start ups will have 4 minutes each to explain their idea to a panel of judges. The winner of this pitch competition will be flown to Sydney by Jobs NSW to pitch their idea at Regional Pitchfest as part of the Sydney Sparks Festival.
Ag and Food tech companies are invited to a three-hour workshop on the latest thinking in AgTech. Sarah Nolet a globally recognized food systems innovation expert and CEO of AgThentic will be running workshop that looks at: Pitching to investors, Australia’s competitive advantage in AgTech, Regional/city connections, Food system innovation, Lessons from the US. This workshop will provide you with an overview of what it takes to be investor ready, outlook on the food and agri business, understand your place, future of food and agri business and outline the basics of being investor ready. At the end of the event two local AgTech companies will pitch to AgTech leading Australian agtech investment fund AgThentic investment and the audience.
